Mulled Wine

The easiest homemade Mulled Wine made with festive and warming spices, clementines, and a splash of amaretto liqueur. This recipe is so easy to make, ready in 10 minutes and tastes divine. Buon Natale!

Ingredients

  • 1 bottle red wine
  • 1 shot amaretto liqueur (35ml)
  • ½ cup brown sugar (110g)
  • 3 clementines or 1 orange
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 3 cloves
  • 3 star anise
  • 1 bay leaf

Instructions

  • Cut the clementines or orange into thick slices and add to a medium sized pot. Add all of the remaining ingredients and stir to combine.
  • Heat the wine slowly until it starts to simmer then immediately turn off the heat (do not let it boil)
  • Ladle the mulled wine into heatproof mugs and serve.
