Friuli-Venezia Giulia

Friuli-Venezia Giulia is a northern Italian region with strong Austrian and Slovenian influences. The cuisine in this region is both delicious and surprising and it is not what youโ€™d think of when you think of traditional Italian food.

Common dishes youโ€™ll find in this region include Ajvar, an incredible charred pepper dip, Frico, an irresistible cheesy potato cake and Jota, a sauerkraut and bean stew.
