Friuli-Venezia Giulia

Friuli-Venezia Giulia is a northern Italian region with strong Austrian and Slovenian influences. The cuisine in this region is both delicious and surprising and it is not what you’d think of when you think of traditional Italian food.

Common dishes you’ll find in this region include Ajvar, an incredible charred pepper dip, Frico, an irresistible cheesy potato cake and Jota, a sauerkraut and bean stew.
