Frangelico is one of my favourite liqueurs. It’s delicious sipped on its own, added to an affogato, hot chocolate and of course, cocktails.

This is a fun little twist on a White Russian Cocktail by adding Frangelico to give it a delicious hazelnut kick.

It’s also made with coffee liqueur and vodka and topped with heavy cream so it’s rich, indulgent and absolutely delicious!

This is the perfect cosy cocktail to have during the holidays or to serve at parties. See how to make it below plus what to serve with it, enjoy!

Ingredient notes and substitutions

  • Kahlua – this is my coffee liqueur of choice but use your favourite!
  • Frangelico – I absolutely love this liqueur it’s so delicious. We use this to make out Hot Chocolate Affogato!
  • Vodka – we use absolute but again, use a brand you love.
  • Cream – you must use heavy cream (double cream UK) and not a low-fat option.

Serving suggestions

This cocktail could either be served at the start of the night if you like something on the sweet/indulgent side or it’s perfect served as an after-dinner drink (it’s like dessert and coffee in one).

Ingredients

  • 1 part coffee liqueur, (we used Kaluha) 1 fl oz/30ml
  • 1 part Frangelico hazelnut liqueur, 1fl oz/30ml
  • 1 part vodka, 1 fl oz/30ml
  • 2-3 tablespoons heavy cream, (double cream UK)
  • Ice
  • Dark chocolate for shaving/grating on top, optional

Instructions

  • Fill a short glass with ice then add the coffee liqueur, frangelico and vodka and give it a stir.
  • Carefully and slowly pour the cream on top. To stop it from mixing too much you can pour it over the back of a metal spoon.
  • Top with some shaved or grated dark chocolate and serve.
