If you’re a fan of a classic Sgroppino Cocktail (lemon sorbet, vodka and prosecco) you’re going to love this fruity strawberry version.

It’s made with strawberries, Cointreau and Prosecco and tastes so unbelievably delicious!

Instead of using strawberry sorbet, I’ve used frozen strawberries mixed with simple syrup (essentially the same ingredients you’d use to make sorbet) so it’s super easy.

If you do happen to have strawberry sorbet, skip the simple syrup as it’ll already be sweet enough.

See the full recipe below plus some delicious nibbles to enjoy with your cocktail!

Recipe tips

  • Serve straight away – because it’s frozen this isn’t a cocktail you can make in large quantities in advance. Although you can double the recipe to serve more it’s best served immediately.
  • Using strawberry sorbet – if you have strawberry sorbet you can use this instead (about 2 scoops per cocktail) remember to skip the simple syrup or the cocktail will be too sweet.
  • Serving suggestions – you can enjoy this as an after-dinner drink/dessert, a palate cleanser in between courses of a big meal or just to cool down on a hot summer day with some nibbles.
